Crop Varieties We Grow
Our choice of food crops at Lowlands Agriventure is dependent on demand by the local retailers, businesses, wholesalers and communities we serve. In this instance, our farming truce focuses on less than ten types of food crops.
Among the ones we currently produce are; Maize as main crop for production, then Okra, Calabash, Sweet Potatoes, Beans and others as per seasonal requirement.
Upon harvest, these crops are sold directly to customers either onsite, store or by pre-order on the phone. Our products are fresh and chemical-free as soil fertilization is not and will not be a requirement for a long time ahead.
This is due to the fact that the region is flooded by rainwater in summer through to early winter seasons in routine bases.
The effect of flood water results in soil fertilization, suitable for growing any type of crop both food and non-food crops. As a result, we are able to produce a high quality of food crops which are appreciated by our customers, clients and communities.
